Hitachi's Innovative Technology for user vibration protection

The European Physical Agents (Vibration) Directive 2002/44/EC aims to protect workers from the harmful effects of vibration by placing a duty of care on employers to minimize the risk. With operator's safety its top priority, Hitachi is addressing the problem of HAVS (Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome) through constant innovation in the design and manufacture of tools.
Hitachi's new UVP tools, the DH 40MRY Rotary Hammer, H 45MRY Demolition Hammer and DM 20V Masonry Drill with low vibration technology have been developed to help meet the goals of this directive and market demand for lower vibrating tools.

Operating vibration can be effectively reduced thanks to the resonance absorption of a weight and leaf-spring.	4 dampers and an optimized slope angle within the unit reduce operating vibration.
	4 dampers elastically suspend the shaft allowing it to rotate with the movement of the handle to reduce operating vibration

Floating structure for less operator fatigue

• Operating vibration and noise can be effectively reduced with the help of the spring and the vibration-isolating O-ring positioned behind the hammering section.
